Rita got plastered this morning! Bit early I thought but that's the joy of living in a country where a drinkable bottle of plonk can be had for less than the equivalent of 2 euros! 😂
Seriously though, has a fractured wrist. * Seriously impressed with the hospital (Szént János, Buda) Checked in, X ray, seen by Dr, plastered, re X rayed again, seen by Dr again, all in less than an hour and a half! And it was busy! Hospital huge, 30 units, all in separate building(s) set in super grounds - best part of a kilometre walk from front to back. Buildings mostly 50 years plus but all clean & maintained. Brilliant!
* Nasty fall on Tuesday afternoon at a tram stop.

Step one. Avoid falling over at tram stops. If you do fall over, don't put your hand out to save yourself, just crash down - less likely to cause damage.
Glad the hosp was good though.

Not used the health service here before so expected a 4 hours or more turn around, as per the UK!

This made me roll my eyes rather than smile…
I called the dentist to make an appointment because the crown on my wisdom tooth has broken in half. The receptionist asked where in the mouth the tooth was located. ‘It is a wisdom tooth, bottom left.’ I replied. ‘But where in your mouth is the tooth located?’

I believe it is on local buses. Not on private coaches of course.

But of course you have to wait ages, and then three come at once.....

My wife answered an unknown number this morning, at the third time of ringing.
"Hello, who's calling please"
" **indecipherable mumble** "
"I think you may have the wrong number"
"No, it's the right number. It's the one I was given"
"OK, well who do you want to speak to?"
"Carlos - the dog killer"

You just reminded me of a time when I answered the phone and a female voice said "I'm going to suck you dry" then hung up.
I wondered if that was a wrong number and if so, at what point did she realise.

(it wasn't a call I had paid for
