What made you smile today? Part III

I posted on the "What has p*ssed you off..." thread that a CT-scan and bloods taken before Christmas had shown no recurrence of my Bowel Cancer after 4 years. Since then I received and returned my bi-annual screening kit from the NHS. Todat I received a letter to say that this has also shown a negative test result, so that no further treatment is required at this time.
I'm now waiting for a conversation with the nurse specialist about further monitoring and I know there was a colonoscopy scheduled, but I'm going to need a lot of convincing to go through that!

I don’t blame you one bit for not wanting another colonoscopy.

Our neighbour dropped off some oranges from her tree, yesterday. It might give me a push to making some marmalade from them. Might drop off some pink grapefruit from our tree, for her, and then make some more marmalade with the rest of the grapefruit.

Just read a tweet that really showed what you should never do. Can't say I approve of what the tweeter did, but the chap who posted the info had to be a twit.
{An right wing commentator boycotted a supermarket during the abortion referendum. He posted a receipt from a new supermarket to "prove" this. I used the receipt info to steal his club card points.}
Not sure which country this was either as all posts on the thread are anonymous,

Our Mr Plow. He shoves the snow up our drive, keeping us nice and clear. We don't drive but it's still good to be able to get a car on the drive. It's better than carrying groceries from a taxi parked on the street.
He's totally reliable and the original amount we used to pay, I always felt he was giving us a Senior's discount and back then, boy were we grateful for that.
Since Covid, though, I've been paying by transfer rather than cash. When it was cash there would be times when it would only be a small amount he did (but still useful to me) and he'd wave a "no charge" to me as I went to pay but it's recently occasionally been a bit awkward for me. Should I pay or not?
Since he's so reliable and in the really big storm he saw the snow up the steps and against the front door in the middle of the night, got out of his truck and dug as out; completely clearing the steps, not just access, I naturally paid.
This morning he came to do the usual, the city plow having passed last night, but there wasn't much. Having done it he knocked on the door and admonished me
"Don't send me any money for this one" he said, "you paid me twice the other day for the same storm."
I said something about it still being a lot of snow - in my mind, if he comes twice, working hard, for a 40cm snowfall and once for an easy 15cm,, it's worth paying double for the biggie.
"Okay, but don't pay for this one" he says.
Oh, this part of Canada...

It was yesterday, but I'm still smiling. My daughter was selected last week for Ontario's junior wheelchair basketball team for the interprovincial National Championships. Yesterday at her club practice, she was issued with some of her provincial team gear, and she came home wearing her "Team Ontario" training top. A celebratory meal round the kitchen table, five years almost to the day since a rather more subdued meal marking her first short visit home from hospital following her accident. Quite the journey we've been on...

That's a pretty incredible young lady you've got there.
