Hope that calms down soon.

Got my mop hair cut! Feels so good, and I had it restyled shorter than usual so that if everything goes tits up and closes down again it will take longer to drive me mad

My barnet is the longest it's been in 30+ years, and I have another 5-6 weeks to-go!

And another smile - I won a drawing from a blog site I link my blog to. 1200 paper hexagons with 1" sides for patchwork - should keep me busy for a bit

It's something I'm really enjoying to be honest. Like you, it's grown shit loads and now I'm living in this mid length world where I could probably get a top-knot but don't really dig that. My hairdresser is back to work, just means a trip to the Palm for a snip.

I never realised how much shampoo people have to use with long hair, mine is normally a #4 max for most of it, now I'm motoring through Head and Shoulders like a trooper!

My hair is very thick and it's down to my back bra strap. I use a dollop of shampoo that's about the size of a pound coin twice. If you're using anywhere close to that, you're using too much!

Agreed, two washes, each with a small amount of shampoo seems more effective than one wash with a big dollop, and uses less shampoo overall. Mine is short enough that one wash is sufficient, though I sometimes do a second wash with just a dab of shampoo if I am feeling particularly profligate or I had been doing a dusty/mucky job that needs the extra wash even if only psychologically.

That actually might work. 'I had to drive to the barber to get my hair cut because my fringe reaches past my eyes and I can't see a thing'

Then you just need some ministers to come on and explain how you were just doing the best you could for your family, despite having several pairs of scissors in the kitchen drawer.

Easy peasy, there'd be a line of them waiting and Boris would be at the front.

What do you do when the Prime Minister and a bunch of journalists are standing on the grass you've just reseeded? Tell them to get off, of course
