I think if I was in your place I might try to also privately source some bagaco or medronho, or both.

I have both at home in Portugal, Bagaço da Morangeira from the north ("home-made" from the skins of the much-abused "Americano" grape) and Medronho from my Alentejo neighbour (who has been making it for over 60 years). Although it's best known in the Algarve, Medronho from the Alentejo is still mostly "caseiro"...... and I have a few trees on my land. But at breakfast? - a bit early for me - I'd drink either after a good lunch or dinner, or with a good Presunto de Porco Preto, from my local town, Ourique - capital of the black pig!! I'll be back there at the end of the month..... you've made me thirsty!!

With prior talk of Marmite and other foods that split the population - I have to make a claim for "Moleja", a "soup" made on the day of the Matança (pig killing) from the blood, mixed with a little wine vinegar and cumin, bay-leaf, coriander and garlic, cooked until it becomes a black porridge - liquid black pudding!! Topped with sliced orange and served hot with Alentejo bread, wine and Medronho (if you're lucky!) Saúde!!

I just dismissed a pair of Jehovah's Witness with a wave through the screen door, didn't even have to tell them.

Enough of the click-bait, Ingles - say something and use an article to support you, don't expect the article to do it for you.... or at least let people know what the heck you are taking about and make up their own minds as to whether they should follow your links. Rather like the boy who cried wolf, you risk failing to attract attention to anything important by smothering it with the mundane.

On the contrary, I've held back in the hope that you might improve, but this was an extreme example of your posts.
I don't lay claim to any special status, but if your own "ego" drives you to reject advice , so be it..

It was a simple link to an article that made him smile. There was no need for discussion or opinion. We're in the 'What made you smile' thread, not 'Let's discuss important worldwide events'. If you don't want to see his posts or click on his links, ignore him and/or them.
