The pedestrian wasn't able to throw the bribe money at him quickly enough.

That one doesn't really hold up, I believe if there was a donut in the vicinity, it would have provided enough distraction to keep the eclipse watchers safe.

Unless the angle is distorted, it was probably just an attempted push. Anything more would have required more speed and with the house right behind, that's a bit unlikely for anyone thinking they were just destroying a snowy snowman. Unless they were pretty drunk of course, in which case judgement goes out the window.

I agree. If they had made a deliberate run at it, even without the tree stump, they would have had several hundred pounds of snow/ice on their car. Even hitting the stump with more than a light nudge would probably have toppled it.

I'm smiling over a text I just got informing me of my honeypot win at one of my hangouts; $180 after the charity gets it's cut.

Insert half-arsed joke about that being just about enough to buy a 6 pack of beer in Canada.

I thought that if they hit it with any speed there should have been pieces of truck laying in the snow. If it was a heavy truck with a pipe cow-catcher on the front, or if they backed into it with a real heavy bumper and they were going slow enough to just knock off as much as they did, then it's plausible.

I think I pay something like $43 ($32 to you) for 24, and it isn't funny.

It isn't funny. Granted, I got away with paying CAN$32 by drinking Molson (possibly also being in bum-**** Alberta as well) but it was no joke.

Actually, that was the cost of 12 so yeah, that sucked even more.
