Unless the angle is distorted, it was probably just an attempted push. Anything more would have required more speed and with the house right behind, that's a bit unlikely for anyone thinking they were just destroying a snowy snowman. Unless they were pretty drunk of course, in which case judgement goes out the window.

Nice story. I'm no expert but there may not be that much damage to the vehicle..

I thought that if they hit it with any speed there should have been pieces of truck laying in the snow. If it was a heavy truck with a pipe cow-catcher on the front, or if they backed into it with a real heavy bumper and they were going slow enough to just knock off as much as they did, then it's plausible.
