I just got sent this lip-dub video by a friend. It's from Coláiste Feirste, the only secondary-level Gaelscoil or Irish-medium school in Belfast - motto "Is mise Gael" (I am native Irish).
Think of this next time the DUP suggest that Irish is a "dead" language!
Although the two songs in the video were written in Irish, the focus on using Irish in translations of popular songs seems to be a a speciality - YouTube is full of them, just look for "as gaeilge" in the title. I wish it had been taught this way when I was a kid - I might have retained more than a "Cúpla Focal"!
But they're not all translations - just as an ear-worm, try this one "An Dreoilín" (The Wren)
Bain sult as!

Had a call from the colorectal nurse specialist - my full-body CT scan report is very short, the chief radiographer has just said "Nothing unexpected observed".
So, with my last blood test showing all markers "within normal bounds" and now the CT scan coming up clear, it looks like the surgery last August was a success and my decision for forgo adjuvant chemotherapy was a good call.
I had a tumour, now I don't, buíochas le Dia!!
