So did my mum (normal gearstick though). Early 80s job, would have been the Le Car out here if I remember correctly. It was a total shitbox, I lost count of the number of times we had to push start that damn thing, plus it didn't even have a tape deck, just a radio that wasn't loud enough to hear over the sound of the engine trying to invent new ways to break down.

I know it was her first car after my dad left, and she was doing her best but **** me when she finally showed up with a brand new Clio I just about pissed myself with relief

You may be right - SA C90 copies made on my JVC Super-ANRS deck from my Pioneer CD player, I guess (explains why I keep coming across old recorded cassettes!). I hate to think what percentage of my take-home went on equipment and CDs....

You weren't making copies from CDs in 1981 unless you worked for Phillips

My dentist telling me to eat ice cream after having had a tooth removed.

Oh, and being able to make myself understood with my jaw clamped tight shut on a wad of compress.

Not sure about the quantity of ice cream though - does a litre sound enough for one serving?

That looks pretty bloody good. Never seen it round here though.

I like the black cherry flavor ice cream with the chunks of dark chocolate and bits of cherry in it. That's the good shit right there.

No, it's not enough. For an extraction you need therapeutic doses.

I just got some soft stuff - cream flavoured. The hippopotamus flavour looked more like for hardened users.

Anyway, my supermarket didn't have that one.
