What made you smile today? Part III

Zoe mentioning her 20th wedding anniversary reminded me of a this: We were on holiday with my sister and her husband a couple of months ago. We were horsing around one evening when an elderly lady came over to us. She told us off because she thought we were arguing. My sister told her we were only joking with each other and that between us we had almost 80 years of marriage (them 40 years, us 39 years).

About six months ago, on Facebook, in some now forgotten group, someone announced that they were going to kill themselves, I didnt know know them at all. I spent ages going through their friends list alerting their friends, in the hope that one or more may be real life friends and able to do something. I heared nothing from anyone. Today I got a thank you from the person who failed at their suicide attempt.

Commonwealth Games Road Races were going passed our road so we went along to watch. Everyone roadside were having a blast, cheering everyone. An Isle of Man cyclist had the gear thing break on his bike and all the support cars were up ahead so some local guy who'd ridden down to watch lent him his bike. We stayed to watch him come round again so the bike he was using was obviously good enough. Brilliant.

My husband braving the weather this morning to go out and buy all the food and supplies we need this weekend so that I don't have to go out.
The fact he's currently cooking breakfast and had a cup.of tea waiting for me when I got up.
These might seem like little things but I'm feeling like crap and this reminds me of how lucky I am
We just celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary
