Conundrum - would that or would that not count as "pampering the criminals and a waste of taxpayer money" etc etc etc.

Finally had confirmation that our insurance compay will pay out for our fire. Seems like it's taken months but it's just over a month ago so I guess it's not too bad.

It is. Only grumble is whilst the assessor was checking it all out, he discovered all the solar panels had storm damage so we needed to make a second claim which they've also agreed to pay out on but we have two excesses to pay which sucks. Still worthwhile doing, I just don't like paying excesses

Burger flipping robot needs up grade, already!

Burger-flipping robot takes short break - BBC News

Knowing the software industry this will become a weekly event, imagine customer reaction after placing their order to be told "sorry, Flippy needs an upgrade, this may take some time".
All adds to their "experience" I suppose!

Am I the only confused by the point of the robot? I mean, they're having to teach staff to place the burgers in a very specific way so the robot can do its 'job'. And they did this because cooks would learn the job then leave in a few months, but aren't they gonna have this issue with the 'burger placers' or whatever that job is?

... Will the 'upgrade' includes leaving the burger side to take the 50p latte surcharge for using a plastic cup...?

Well, yesterday and continuing.....

Hearing the TV pundits change their tune about the England Rugby team and their retention of the 5 nations title.

Yesterday, the assumption was that the game versus France was a no-brainer, so all the discussion was whether or not England would get the bonus point for 4 tries and make next week's game against Ireland the decider.

Then France won

.... Because clearly they weren't listening to Britain's position on the issue... sigh
