My daughter wanted to do it when we were there in 2014 but it was a bit more expensive than she was expecting. I do have photos from the bottom of the tower of people at the top walking on the outside and it looks amazing.

We live right by the tower and often see the little red dots on top of the tower high above. Not something I could do...especially leaning right over the edge with just the harness to prevent you falling.

That the University of East Lancashire has taken in over 700 refugee trainee doctors from the devastated St Maarten Island after the hurricane destroyed it.

They will continue their studies and return home in February (If that is possible) One particular story made me smile a lot.. The families came along as well of course, and one little four yr old boy asked if 'There were very high winds in Preston as well?..'No' came the reply.'Why'? 'Because the winds blew away all my Teddies ' said the little chap. Of course the staff at the college went straight out and bought him several new ones.
