Well thanks all. It was pretty scary as I did some research (always dangerous) and thought I may need a lumbar puncture, potentially a craniotomy and possibly radiotherapy
. Anyway the plan is for another MRI brain scan in June to look for any changes. The neuroradiologist doesn't expect to see anything and as long as I'm not having any seizures (which I never have) then it's just one of those things.
Anyway I've learnt a couple of things about myself this last week; a) that I'm really good at denial, b) that a sense of humour is very helpful and c) I need to stop procrastinating and get on with living and taking more care of my health.

A few years ago I kept having dizzy spells and at one point fainted. I had a MRI/CT scan...can't remember which. I had already convinced myself it wasn't a brain tumour...so I wasn't worried about the results. What I wasn't prepared for was my doctor saying there were areas of concern and it looked like MS...make an appointment to see a neurologists right away. The neurologist looked at my pics and said they were normal for a migraine sufferer. Turned out the dizziness was positional vertigo...a 5 minute maneuver and it was sorted.

I'm glad that it was a good outcome for you, it must have been a terrible time.

Nuttall of the UKIPs continuing the tradition of the head of that party utterly failing to win a seat in Parliament.

Thanks Dreamy, it was a stressful week but thankfully just a storm in a teacup.

Mr Big Sticks wouldn't dare to google anything medically related, he prefers the head-in-the-sand approach to medical care! Being a midwife, I get my anatomy and physiology textbooks out and then hit Google.

M had to have Carpal Tunnel release on his right hand last week. Should be simple and straightforward but oh no..not happening. His crazy EKG readings scared the anesthesiology crew and even after he was prepped and ready we had to wait for the consult with them the surgeon and the cardiologist before they would go ahead.
It never stops being fun!
