You're probably looking at about a grand per seat. Might get it in the $900s if you book about 90 days before your travel dates.

Yeah. Last year we did very well with Aer Lingus, changing in Dublin. I think we got just under $800.

Right now, Aer Lingus into Dublin is just over a grand. That was for late June departure, so in March it may yet be around $800.00.

I beat this dead horse almost every discussion, but when we flew to Dublin in 2007, it was about $375.00 each, return, with AA, normal 'sticker' price via Orbitz. It cost me just under $600.00 return to Canada this past September. Times have changed, eh?

Same airline (BA), same flight numbers, same airports (Logan>Heathrow) and same dates/times as last year.
Last years Price... $930.00 This year... $400.00

No... Don't really understand what's going on with it to be honest. Mrs. N spotted it whilst playing around on the website...

I'm a little disheartened now I've discovered the only way we can get to Germany direct from Belfast is to fly with Ryanair, who are supposed to redefine the word shite as far as service goes. Still probably better than AA, in fairness.

Right place, right time. Between the two of us, my wife and I will keep an eye on prices until early March and pull the trigger at the point we thing it's the best deal.

I remember watching an Aer Lingus (sry, don't know type) trundle off down the runway at Bristol once... looked like a single decker bus with a plank nailed on top. It sort of hopped over the fence at the end of the runway.. I really didn't think it was going to make it over.

Though it might have been a Short 330 from that description.

What year was that? I only know them from the era of the 737-200 onwards, but they don't really fit that description.

Pretty sure they had a truck come out and hook up to start the engines.

Anyway, if you look at the picture of the Short 330 in the Wiki link I posted, it pretty much fits the description of a bus with a plank nailed to it, I bet that was it. Even more likely given it was a pond-hop in the 80s, since I don't think they ever operated the Dash-8.
