Buying spring bulbs in Lowes today and also getting 3 pots of pansies that were reduced to $1 each, but should have been $13 each A bit of deadheading and tlc should bring them back to loveliness for a few weeks until the cold nights overcome them.

My sweet little grandson, seeming pleased at the Jays win in the ALDS. The kid is just priceless.

Full refund from hire car company because I reserved and paid for a Clio "or similar" and they provided a workmen's van. Wrote a sarcastic spot-the-difference letter, got a grovelling apology and aforesaid full refund. Result

Migrants trying to get to the UK from Calais got a bit of a shock when they juped in the back of a lorry, only to find that it was already occupied...

You complained about an upgrade, and got a refund, that is a result.

Not that I particularly rate Renaults (although my Clio Williams wasn't bad), have you ever driven a Dacia Dokker?

A couple of pairs of ducks often fly in, have a swim in the pool and a walk about then fly off. Today one of the pairs turned up with 7 babies Mum and Dad sat in the shade for 10 minutes whilst the babies had a little wander and peck at the ground, then they all waddled off again.

Google have just matched all donations to our school district for August-December, up to $400k. As we've just had to donate for the upcoming Yosemite school trip, they'll match all that for starters

I love living in Google Town, they really stump up a lot of cash and equipment for the school district and community. I know they get tax breaks for it, but it's still rather fab. We're rather lucky, I don't think Apple put anything into their community in Cupertino.
