Yeah... In it is probably better. I still remember my economy flight.

How do you get round trip tickets for $750, and where can I get one?

It's good that he's willing to make the trip on his own. Short can sometimes be a good thing

It was Aer Lingus Dublin - O'Hare and I booked them on Orbitz, about 3 months ago.

I wonder if the fact that the first leg of the trip originated in Dublin, rather than Chicago had bearing on price.

Maybe. I've looked at flying to Dublin, but never found one that cheap, and by the time I get from there to England it ends up being even more expensive of course.

I'm also stuck flying at expensive times of year, too, due to school holidays.

As are we. Last time we flew into Dublin (on AA), it was over $1,000.00 each.

I guess I just got lucky this time

The first time FIL came over alone was about 4-6 months after MIL's death. He coped ok, but he had a few, very few, maudlin'n moments. We half expected that, as MIL had been across with him before. I'm pretty sure the kids will keep him in an "up mood". Good luck, and enjoy the visit.

Reminds me of that Twilight Zone episode with Shatner.

I looked at the Westjet flights beginning mid-May (I checked June) Regina - London and the ones on seat sale looked about that much ($340 Cdn one way).

Unfortunately I would have to get to Canada first. And not during the winter, at that. I apparently live in the wrong place...

Forty-five minutes on the interstate this morning, almost entirely at 75 mph on cruise control.

So many do, but eventually they brave the emotional roller coaster, for the kids. Im not sure but I think these prices represent about half the normal fare. About time Westjet introduced a little competition into the market.
