I'll be like that silly Jade Goody who attempted the London Marathon after training for about a week and continuing with her usual diet of chips and booze!

Hey pb!! Good on you! How far do you have to walk or run? I took part in the moonwalk marathon in london 2006 I done it with my best mate, we came in the top 100 walkers out of 15,000!!! . That was a real sense of achievment. If I can give anyone any advise it would be to train as early as you can before an event, and take it really slowly. Build up your walking times and you will be so amazed at how quickly your body just accepts the extra half mile, or mile. I could only do a mile or two when we first starting training. I was pretty unfit to start.

Good luck, I hope you raise loads of money. xx

Thanks hun and well done on your walk - Race For life is only 5km but to an unfit specimen like me that's quite a hike!

Thanks for the training tips - my training will start next week giving me about 4 months to transform from blobby couch potato into finely tuned athlete!

To see a 'Sold' sign on my neighbours house! Good riddance to bad rubbish........ Hopefully, the buyer will be much better. If not, I have options ... ...
