Hey me too - doing race for life I mean - in Bournemouth - it's a bit worrying as I am just about the most unfit person I know and haven't done any regular exercise since I was at school
- my kids are on half term at the moment - once they're back at school next week I've gotta start some sort of training programme or I'm pooped!
I'll be like that silly Jade Goody who attempted the London Marathon after training for about a week and continuing with her usual diet of chips and booze!

Hey pb!! Good on you! How far do you have to walk or run? I took part in the moonwalk marathon in london 2006 I done it with my best mate, we came in the top 100 walkers out of 15,000!!! . That was a real sense of achievment. If I can give anyone any advise it would be to train as early as you can before an event, and take it really slowly. Build up your walking times and you will be so amazed at how quickly your body just accepts the extra half mile, or mile. I could only do a mile or two when we first starting training. I was pretty unfit to start.
