What have you never done?

I've been to Paris several times, but have never been up the Eiffel Tower. I could never be bothered to wait to wait in long lines.

I was surprised about the snack bar there (up the tower). For a tourist place you'd think it would be expensive. For locked in customers even more so. But I had a beer and a plate of chips for less than I'd have paid in Bristol.

I have never learnt to swim despite partners teaching (trying to) and proper lessons 3 times during my life. I'm terrified of water above my knees. So just accepted that now especially as one doesn't know what's in the water-pool or sea.
I went up the eiffel tower and just had vertigo-not fun

I have never been to Europe or really anywhere outside North America except once to Australia.
Never scuba dived.
Never been to university.
Things I have never but would like to do someday.

Snow skiing (downhill anyway) is right out. Far too much vertigo.
I wouldn't mind trying water skiing, since I'm pretty confident in the water.

Some say the view from the Montparnasse Tower is as good, cheaper, less of a wait etc. But it's not the Eiffel Tower. It's just not.

You were staying in the Bristol? I’ll bet a plate of chips there is pricey.

I have stayed in a Hotel Bristol in Metz, though. Just a basic place for a stopover. The hourly room rates were quite useful for the pick-up I observed just outside
