Well, I had written this in the thread that just got deleted, so here it is again....

Very warm, sunny, blue skies! But a change is a coming..... Tomorrow its supposed to drop 20 degrees and by Friday we're supposed to get rain. Fall is starting to say hello, in tiny ways.....

Little cooler here this week, but still low 90's! I'm not very confident that we will see much of an Autumn though

Low 80's high, 60's in the wee hours. Perfect weather IMO.

It's pretty hot in my part of the world. I can tell this thanks to my bottle of wine.

If I take a glass and leave the bottle out ... the second glass is warm. That means that the temperture inside the house is pretty hot and I need to put the wine bottle back in the fridge after each pouring.

I can now also calculate the average temperature by guessing (rather accurately) how many hours in the fridge a freshly shop bought bottle of wine needs to cool down.

Sticking a bottle of fizzy stuff in the freezer, falling alseep on the sofa and waking up to a smashed glass bottle and popped cork of fizz means that the freezer is working to its full potentail. Shame about the champers. (Only made that mistakle once- lol.)

Bloody gorgeous ... blue, BLUE skies, cold enough to sleep at night and warms up nicely during the day ... sod all humidity and the mossies are dormant.

And the 5 day is forecast is for more of the same getting a bit warmer.

This is what I look forward to when I'm sweating through the 'good weather' in summer.

Back to monsoon mode AND just as I leave to pickup DH from work, all week long. So it's drive with nose pressed to windshield, 4 ways on, 25 mph, then bright sunshine, then the curtain drops again and back to monsoon. Sigh.

Interesting about Japan - how were June and July? My daughter was there then, though coming from Texas makes one a bit "used" to the heat.

I've had it with summer, though after last week's 107 F (actual temperature, not the heat index), the mid-90s feels cool. We also, as usual, desperately need rain.

Meanwhile I see across the pond that August has been cool and rainy. Weird stuff.
