Summer has finally arrived, at least for now. Sunny and 27c the high for today - heading for the beach with the dogs before it gets too warm.....

Awww, Sue! It's hard enough for me to get my head round Fahrenheit, without you dragging it back to Centigrade-land.

Pattern has been-hot and humid and then in the afternoon comes what I call the mushroom cap-black cover that circles around in a 30 odd mile radius and then BAM in comes the severe thunderstorms, normally just as it's time to drive home.

The good side is we are up over 11 inches of rain from this time last year.

Hot and humid.

I am likely to be lynched if I express this opinion in public though due to our shitty "summer" so far.

The now normal afternoon thunderstorm came up this afternoon, however this time we were on the main N/S drag coming from Savannah on the way home. Had to get off it, onto an alternate route on higher ground because the street was flooding!!!

We get the thunderstorms every afternoon but no rain at all

This non-stop heat and humidity is wearing thin this year. Oh for some rain

Sweatier than the devil's jockstrap here and, as we didn't get our afternoon thunderstorm yesterday, it looks like we'll have a bunch of 'em today.

We've not had a good storm here in a few weeks now...

When I watch them forming on the radar they seem to be training right towards us but then they either fizzle out or head north or south...

It's 82 (27c) here at the moment with a high of 85 possible.

Here's a bit of random:

In Baghdad its 42c at 7PM, with a night time low of 30c.

In Kabul it's 28c and its 8PM.

The best weather report from Kabul I've seen was, "Today there will be blowing dust".
