We had bad storms (again) last night, lots of rain/wind. I took Bo out for a pee this morning and found all my newly planted seedlings all over the patio floor! Wouldn't mind, but I had saved those seeds from my last trip home (4 yrs ago) they were all British flowers!

Muggy here but not as bad as the 90% Humidity it was yesterday.
We had nearly 24 hours of storms with a few hours break in the middle, They were training through in a straight line, loads more rotation towards the end and a touch downs in the far northern suburbs of Chicago-land near the Wisconsin border. The winds came out of nowhere last night as well, it wasn't a gentle rise up to high winds, they just came and took the trees by surprise ripping whole limbs off.
3 m/o slept through most of it. What a trooper.

M is helping on an Ike damaged house and I have to keep reminding them to have water breaks. Putting a roof on in 98 degree heat is crazy

Six hours later and we are home, he has a badly fractured heel on his left foot, a twisted and swollen right knee and a sprained left wrist. His foot is splinted and we have to see the bone-guy on Monday as he may have to have surgery. Right now he is zonked out on pain meds and I am just calming down from the panic. Good weekend so far....
