Most strange.

Over 60 degrees at the beginning of January... and all you crazy lot warned me to expect "a cold unlike any cold I have experienced before"...

Apparently this is a record temp for Chicago in January...

Me thinks global warming is definitely full throttle.

A record high of 75 f yesterday (after getting down to 16 one morning last week), a bit of rain it seems this morning...we could use 40 days worth.

12 inches of snow last week, and now it's brilliant sunshine and 55 degrees!

there was a good four feet of snow on the ground last week..been raining and warm for three days...snow banks are half what they were and there are huge bear spots anywhere there is a slope on the ground. Wouldn't want to be living on the low ground now. Snowmobilers are pissed...hahahahahaha. Ice huts are ****ed, if they do not fall through the ice, they will freeze solid in it when the cold returns, and then fall through in the spring thaw.

plus 11c now (about 55f) and on the 14th, back to -10c

Equally weird here, gone from winter last week (or what passes for it here) to spring. It's supposed to get cold again this weekend, but not as cold as it was before, which is fine.

Its pouring with rain and gale force winds where I am.

All very cosy from my room but it is really noisy hearing the rain lash on the windows.

And chilly as well I don't mind adding.

Had a tornado move through about five miles north of us yesterday afternoon. 165 MPH winds, cut a path ten miles long. Luckily we just had some hail and lots of black sky, thunder and lightning. A local apple orchard was levelled.

Thunderstorms are forecast here for the next couple of days. This is almost summer weather, I don't remember having thunderstorms this early in the year before.
