Just watched this video on the breed. Far more informational than the one I posted above. A fabulous breed with so much character

Is there a little cross-pollination going on between the Puppy Dog and Lockdown threads? Or am I just Monday-morning confused?!

Nah, some doggy posts from another thread were moved here.

I moved the posts out of the Coronavirus thread. For some odd reason the old thread title remains at the top of posts.

Benji is now 6 months old and 31lbs!

He felt the need to lay on top of me and scout the yard and surrounding area for imminent dangers after I got back from a run with his big sister and we lay down to cool off.

They grow so fast don’t they? Glad the yard has been cleared of immediate threats! 😀

An hourly occurrence in Portugal is a look between my two, followed by a rush outside to give any possible (but unseen) intruder the benefit of a good barking. Followed by a return to bed with a look of a job well done. Cars on the track 500m away ar a particular threat......

His character comes across in the pictures.... and he's growing before our eyes.
Nutek made such a good choice...... although we've yet to see what happens when Stanley looks to expand his territory!

Yeah, it keeps 99% of them away...... and those that slip through are escorted from the gate to the house. I'm now told that Honey (or "Brown" as she has become known by those who find the "H" particularly hard to pronounce!) has taken to patrolling the boundaries of the home section (that area within the fence and supposed to keep us from full-on sheep invasion). This is new....

Péuga, the cat, has reverted to dog mode, waiting to join the girls on their walks - and now actually stays alongside, rather than following at a distance and claiming to be "just walking in the same direction" when spotted. He still ambushes Lucy to get a reaction (almost always) and is still frustrated that Honey fails to respond. The look she gives him is something between total disdain and "stupid boy!", but he's determined to impress her. His father, the original dog-cat is a mess, having been fighting again. SWMBO is still muttering about getting him "done", but at his age, I think the game's up. It's not easy being the ex-champion.....

Yes they do. Unfortunately, he's still a pain in big sisters butt for the most part!

Oh big sister usually leads those yard clearances - squirrels, bunnies, possums (not fun), people, even dogs a half mile away....

Thank you! We got lucky with this one, the last of the litter!

Exactly the same here. They'll be sunbathing, then sprint to the fence and bark until 'threat' is gone, then go back to sunbathe after a 'job well done'!

Option 1, Look helpless, get food given to you
Option 2, Have to press a lever

I know which option mine would choose.....

Here's Nutty, our English cocker spaniel.. he was 5 months old when this was taken and growing visibly every day..

He's our 4th cocker.. and, at 18kg, he's by far the biggest.. the others were all around 13kg. He's now 3 years old..

Our first Bulldog (Bowzer) used to have one of our terriers press the lever for him.

I can't decide if he is fixing something with a hard stare, or just showing us the correct way to sit. ;) Either way, he knows he is very handsome.

One he is likely to make the odd appearance on. Pretty sure our first Bulldog, Bowzer, is out there too. He was a nice old guy. :)

Her, please! This is just after she had decided to play with a snake..... probably not poisonous.

Not quite as bad as at Christmas when we were out walking and a group of javali ran across the road in front of us.
Honey stayed put, somewhat put out by the fact they didn't even say hello.
Lucy disappeared after them ....... for a full five minutes before trotting back as if it was an everyday occurrence. Daft as a brush.
