These Ice Cube lyrics are a hard thing to argue with when you apply it to almost any situation.

I had a friend who always said as he was leaving "Time to make like a baby and head out". I did him one better and said "Think I'll make like ISIS and head off".

Certainly is, if you're insulted then I've failed:

Not at all, I don't go in for being insulted but in any case, I refer you to some post somewhere over the last couple of days where the fine British art of funny rudeness was discussed. I tihnk it might have been on the Trump thread, hard to say, they all blend together a bit.

I love the "gentleman" thing from my father, because what it really does is provide license to be as rude as you like when called for.

My father.
I've heard that one before as.
“A gentleman is one who never hurts anyone’s feelings unintentionally.”

My brother in law is hilarious when comes out with sayings or quotes. He nearly gets it right, but not quite. Examples are 'hairy fairy' (airy fairy), 'it's between you, me and the fence post' (gate post) and 'highway murder' (highway robbery).

Not that I can really laugh about getting words wrong. I went into a home wares shop and asked if they had any porter and mestles. I'll leave you to work that one out

True - one of the boys in the group of friends I hung around with as a teenager never lived down his brain fart. We were in a deli after a footy match and he asked for a hound of ram sandwiches. Poor sod, we brought it up every chance we got

I hate humans.

Short, sweet and to the point and valid pretty much every single day of the year.
