Favourite Movies when you were a kid
#1

The little one has a bit of a cold so I thought we would spend the day watching movies on NetFlix.
I thought it would be quite good to watch some stuff from when I was a kid, we've seen most of the last 10 years worth of kids movies.
Goonies was the classic while I was growing up, but we've watched that a few times now, we watched Gremlins yesterday, and I thought maybe Karate Kid today.
My personal favourite was The Incredible Journey
What was yours?

My husband remembered when Disney movies used to be always shown on Saturday night I think it was. All kinds of good ones there. "Pete's Dragon" was a big favorite of mine. My husband loved shows like "Fantasy Island".

I remember embarrassing myself back in school when the teacher asked us to name Scottish musicians.
It turns out it's pronounced M.C. Hammer.
Kid's film?
The Exorcist.

Yes that was a good one.
I remember being taken to see 'Ring of Bright Water' on a school trip and the shock ending
We thought 'Herbie' was hilarious.'
Also the 'Carry On' films which seemed very near the knuckle
P.S. Get well soon to your little one.

I liked old movies....probably comes from living with my grandparents after my mom died....
Yours, Mine and Ours (rent the original, muuuuuuuuuuch better!)
Sound of Music - although this wasn't a movie I saw on first release, we rented it recently on NetFlix so our 8 year old could watch it (I'd never seen the whole movie) and she really loved it....loved the music.
Bedknobs and Broomsticks - another classic

She's nearly 8. She will probably love Grease, hubby has already made her watch Star Wars
I've never heard of Ring of Bright Water. Herbie films are good, we've already watched them
I'm coming to the conclusion that we watch too many movies
I can't believe you have admitted to liking Carry on Films, thats bad.
Thanks for the get well wishes, and congrats on the 10,000th post
