I know we sometimes comment about being a bit surprised that a celeb has not already died when we get a new report, but in this case it's true - Malcolm Mclaren has been dead for a few years (the report is from 2010)

What is going on this year so far???? Loved those early Eagles albums, and by coincidence just watched the "Smuggler's Blues" episode of Miami Vice last week.

Mott The Hoople drummer Griffin dies aged 67 - BBC News

Ironic that MtH were most famed for a song given to them by David Bowie.

There must be a really good jam session going on somewhere right now.

Hitched from Braintree to Southend to see them many many years ago. If my mum had known I would have been grounded for life!

Love this song.

Off topic: I was just telling my daughter-in law how I used to hitch from here to there and not think anything of it. Wouldn't do it now. Probably shouldn't have done it then! My mother would've killed me after all her "don't take any lifts from strangers" talks.

Sad news. So lucky to have lived through so much great music.

You do realise that today's teenagers will have to say the same about One Direction and Little Mix.

How depressing. Even with rubbish pop groups, we still had excellent musicians that lasted. I can't think of any recent groups who have the talent and catalogue to go the distance.
