I have 2 options as it won't get better . I can talk to a surgeon and schedule it now or I can wait until it becomes unbearable and then have it removed. Right now I am thinking the beginning of next year because most surgeons are booked up until the end of December with people having met their deductibles. I have to do blood enzyme tests for my pancreas next week as it is also very inflamed but it is probably because of the bile from the gall bladder.

Talk about falling apart I still think when next Friday is over with all my ailments will miraculously disappear ( I know, wishful thinking ) My work situation did ease up a bit this week. We had security all week and my HR meeting put me more at ease. So if I can just survive 5 more work days then my stress levels will be mostly gone!
Work over the past week being ok is the only bit of good news there. Bloody bloody hell about your gall bladder, you must feel as though this will never end. I really hope that despite everything you can relax and enjoy life a bit once you've left work. That bloody gall bladder had just better behave itself until you can have that surgery.

What she said
What a bugger not being able to get a Mars bar, but in the face of the other stuff you're going through right now, it's small fry.
Five days to go at work and then you can start to wind down . Let's hope that your gallbladder plays ball until your surgery.

That's close enough. I can see Sir Geoffrey making some comment about waterworks

Get it sorted asap C. I remember the pain my friend's son was in prior to his being removed and it's just not worth waiting for the next flare up. Start 2020 with a reconditioned body. X

I'm getting a second opinion before I do anything. My daughter's father in law is a retired surgeon and he is looking over all my test results and setting up an appointment for me with one of his old surgeon colleagues. I've had too many internal problems this year to just rush into this. I want to make sure everyone is on the same page.

It certainly is. Chatting to him today helped a lot plus he makes me laugh! My daughter has a great in-law family.

I'm mad at myself. I didn't realise that I'd almost run out of Palexia SR 100mg (one of the devil drugs I'm on) until yesterday, and I couldn't get an appointment with my doc until tomorrow morning. Having been warned by the pain specialist that I can't just abruptly stop taking this drug, for the last 24 hours I've been taking the 150mg strength ones initially prescribed. The reason I have a few of those left is because I couldn't wait to get off them, they leave me feeling and acting like a space cadet. So guess who's a space cadet this morning. So bloody annoying, one step forward and half a dozen back, and it's my own fault.

I have to keep this morning's hairdresser appointment because she's booked solid until Christmas. She always puts out fruit mince pies in the lead up. I have visions of me telling her to give me a mohawk, in between stuffing my face with every fruit mince pie I can get my hands on and spitting them all over the place when I speak. Oh well, at least it'll be entertaining.

Unfortunately it was very sedate. Shortbread and fine china tea cups and not a drop or crumb was spilled. My hair looks ok too

Thanks, I'm getting the lower dose ones tomorrow so that should sort it for now. And I've reached the prescription threshold so they'll be free
