My turn tomorrow. 7.30 am is upper scope time for me. Hopefully the dreaded ulcers are healed and I can stop taking the yucky medicine.
Here's hoping.

Whereas I'll keep everything that can be crossed, crossed for you tomorrow. Such a long and hard road you've had with this. The very best of best luck mate.
Eye is askew
Thanks for the crosses in return

The test for celiac was negative so can rule that out.

Waiting still for the FIT results.

Well not having coeliac disease is a good thing. A few of my friends have it and they are extremely ill when they get gluttoned.
When do you get the FIT results?

Just a postscript, I'm reminded again of how grateful I am for the healthcare where I live.
Monday morning, GP visit leading to
Monday afternoon, mammogram
Tuesday, ultrasound
Wednesday, fine needle biopsy.

As well as everything being done so quickly, the total sum I paid for all that was $10.

That's great news! What is FIT? I tried to look it up but kept getting stuff on epilepsy.

Ye-es, I cancelled my health insurance a month too early! Had to pay for my endoscopy, but it wasn't an awful lot.

Glad to hear it's just a cyst, SoS.

Not sure if it was this thread or another talking about specs: I went into OPSM to ask how much it would cost to change the lenses in my prescription sunnies to non-tinted (because I don't wear them and don't like only having one pair of ordinary specs - break or lose them and I'd be buggered). Multifocals I know but still, AUD800 seemed a bit unfriendly just for the lenses. I'll wait until I go back to the US and get some, as we're covered there.

I am hoping to avoid a colonoscopy. I have had 2, have a history of lower GI bleeding, and had some polyps removed 8 years ago that were benign, but GP is just trying to rule things out before sending to a GI doc, some specialties get annoyed I guess if GP's refer without doing every test the GP possibly can, just a slow process that takes a couple months, but I am not showing signs of cancer, so its not rushed, if someone has signs of cancer doctors move much faster generally.

Caretaker already answered but its a screening test to look for blood in stool that could indicate GI bleeding, its a screening tool mostly for colon cancer to see if a colonoscopy is needed, they try to avoid colonoscopies if they can so use FIT screening first.

That is quick, Quite impressed, basically US style speed at a lower cost.

My wife is having a mammogram soon, GP visit to mammogram will be about a month, her ultrasound though she got an appointment with only a 8 day wait.

Pending the imaging if she needs a specialist another wait.
