We had recorded American Idol and saw the second part last night. Now I know what all of you are talking about . That song is catchy and could become a hit.

The pants on the ground guy is quite interesting, a player in the civil rights movement even had a holiday named after him.

I've never watched the first part of American Idol, when they are trying out and now when the selected group is being whittled down in Hollywood. Can't believe how heartless it can be. Or as my husband says, can't understand why anyone would put themselves through that ordeal. Its almost too painful to watch and like a train wreck I kept watching it....

I agree but some of the contestants, are a sandwich short of a picnic basket, you have to admit that!

Hell, some of them are short the whole damn basket. I do agree that it is not so nice to humiliate some of them publicly. I can;t imagine what some of them endure afterwards

Exactly. I mean I watched what I had recorded (last night from Wednesday night) and the one guy with the glasses (kind of looked like Danny Gokey from last year) didn't make it through the group part in Hollywood. Poor guy was sobbing and asked for a second chance, Simon made some comment of don't beg....but it was almost too painful to watch and I hope this guy had someone to comfort him after the cameras left him. You just don't see what happens off screen and its a little disconcerting....

It's not like it's a new show though...the contestants must have seen previous shows, they should know what to expect by now.

Some of those in Hollywood, should never have been there anyway...

This is true, they have seen it. Problem is, they don;t see it happening to them. They think they are stars. Some mothers do have em.

Okay, I have an official favorite in the competition. Let's see how far she goes.

And I'm very excited that Crystal is from just outside my home town.
