I've just been outside clearing up leaves vortexed into our porch by Dennis (having done the same after Ciara last week).
It was chilly but not too bad...... at first. Then, just as I got to the point where you can't give up - the drizzle started. :(

Now rain is one thing, but cold drizzle on a windy day is quite another (although I do have brown soda bread, SoS!)

In Portugal they have a great name for it - "Molha Parvos" or "Soak the Eejits" as we might say at home. The definition of the phrase is "Chuvinha que tem fraca intensidade, mas é capaz de encharcar por ser muito persistente" (Fine rain, of low intensity, but able to drench because it is very persistent) - seems to fit the bill.

I'm now inside, but my coat, hat and gloves are dripping away in the garage...... so if the cap fits

Sun's out. Above freezing too. This is about as good as one could expect for February I guess.

Except 2/3 years ago when it was 60 degrees around now.

We are in low 70's which should be really lovely except the humidity is awful.

Yesterday we had a yard of sand to unload from the back of our truck. Oh yeah I thought, that won't take long. It was very very wet sand. It was heavy to move ( well for me it was) and by the time we had spread it for leveling garden tiles and filling in low spots throughout the yard we were both dripping wet from the humidity. And fighting to breathe!

And why does a "yard" of sand or soil not sound like very much until you start shoveling it.:sneaky:

Also how much should I charge for being the bosses labourer???

I know. Especially in humidity.

A cord and half of wood sounds not bad until it is delivered

Bright sun today - just the thing to tempt you outside.

Cruel wind, just the thing to make you change your mind!

Same here funnily enough. Not so much with the wind, but it's bright and sunny, then you step outside and discover that it's also 15F (-9C)

Warmer days are, apparently, ahead.

Sunlit flatlands here, but it wasn't off the back of an empty promise, of course.
