We're spoiled for beaches in Western Australia, it makes up for being so isolated from the rest of the country/world.

My favourite in Perth is Cottesloe beach. One of my sons got married there at sunset, it was beautiful (photo not taken by me)

Favourite beach in the whole State is Little Beach down in Albany. The sand is pure white and feels like talcum powder. It's lovely at any time of the day but sunset's a bit special (photo not taken by me)

Scouse and I go there a lot when we visit friends in Albany, he took this one of me about 8 years ago

We're planning to drive down again in a couple of months :)

That's an extra large turtle on the beach there.

You look good though.

I imagine the water is warm based on those photos it looks absolutely tropical.

That is the one downside to San Diego, while the beaches are nice, the water is fairly cold most of the year, San Diego is on the same current as the rest of the west coast, cold water coming out of Alaska...ha ha

I haven't swam in the ocean since 2000 I think or maybe 2001, I can't remember but one of those years I went to Jamaica. I need warm water, I just don't see the enjoyment in going out into cold ocean water....

I think you mean 74 million snowflakes...

I know. When I was a teenager I went out with an English girl who had a horse. She was a nasty thing, but I liked her horse. Actually I liked her parents, her sister, even the family dog, but she was far too bossy. Twenty years later I ran into her at a party, and she'd married someone else I didn't like, so job done.
