Heat indexes above 100 for most of this past week and forecast for the next couple of days. I'm rapidly losing any remaining enthusiasm for working outside in the summer.

Yesterday we spent a couple of hours putting everything back in the yard that we had packed away from the storm. I spent the rest of the day recovering. It was unbreathable weather! I don't know how you do it.

Well the sun is back with a temp drop to high 20ties and fresh mornings. The temps are meant to rise higher by the end of the week.

93F, feels like 100F in the shade, heat index up to 106F today. humidity 58%, there'll be thunder and showers later (because Florida). Temps for the rest of the week forecast to be 90+, so another week in hell to be expected. At least we haven't had a big blow here, yet....

We have a wind warning today, seems abrupt weather change in the prairie provinces of Canada a massive ridge of high pressure has formed over BC, creating potential for some crazy winds.

Supposed to be around 28C/82F today temp wise.
One thing I noticed about this new area we live, it can be 28C-30C during the day, but 8C to 13C overnight, cools off quite a lot, which is nice as it means we don't need a/c overnight, just during the peak heat of the day.

Looks like some smoke is headed our way tomorrow, the screen shot is the forecast for 5pm tomorrow, but slowly creeps in overnight if the forecast is correct.

We went to the beach today because we knew it would be deserted. As soon as Labor Day is over it is the end of summer in most peoples minds around here except not according to the temperatures! We took a picnic, sat on the beach and enjoyed the sea breeze and the sun...until it got too hot. It was a good day to be out and not have to avoid other people!
I even put my feet into the warm gulf water in memory of my mum
