I assume its likely a bit humid there as well?
I can deal with dry heat, I'll take 95 and 25% humidity over 95 and humid any day, we are at 1,100 feet elevation so I imagine that plays a role in the cooling off at night. I am still amazed that the overnight low and daytime high is like 30 degree difference, 95 for the high today, 64 expected to be the overnight low.
Usually by 10pm its down to 76/77 or so.

No doubt Sugarmomma and all our fellow BE folk on the east coast, gulf coast and in Florida are looking eastwards and wondering if that is this year's 'big one' out in the Atlantic and who it's going to hit next week... Oh, and there appears to be a growing monster just about to roll off the African coast!

I like summer storms, which is handy because at this time of year they are normally a daily occurrence, this area is known as the lightning capital of the world for good reason. This past few weeks we've, unusually, been getting two or three a day. 7am here and the thunder is active and has been for at least two hours, we should get our standard 3-3.30pm storm later and possibly another.

I'm looking to add some water butts instream on the guttering drainage downpipes.

Next week could be interesting if you live on the gulf coast. Two storms heading that way side by side. One possibly straight into Houston/Galveston area.
It could only happen in 2020!
Ready to hunker down

Yup looks like we'll miss the bullet, but my yard could well do without any more rain.

I will go on ignoring the hype until it gets closer. Then we will decide to leave or not depending on the Cat and where it's landing.

Hoping all you Gulf Coast dwellers stay safe over the next week. We are possibly heading into drought in central PA, I wish the summer rains were a bit more evenly distributed.

The hottest night last night followed by a hot sunny very very humid day today,no thunder no rain as yet but still wet through.

The first storm Marco has not caused any problems. We woke up this morning early (Monday) to rain wind and thunder but by 9am it was mostly over.
Now we are waiting for Laura to decide if she is going to be a pain in the but for us! It looks right now that it will be Texas or Louisiana and looking like a late Wednesday early Thursday landing.
