Hopefully it will pass by without causing damage. So no garden time today

Nice but high winds today. My cherry tree is bare of blossom now and the ground looks like snow.
Keeping a close eye on the fruit trees because I don't want to lose blossom.....

We had quite a nice weekend, the yard was full of birds again on Saturday. I wish I'd taken a picture of them before they flew off but we had two Northern Flickers in the yard looking for bugs. Not sure if they are the same ones that were drumming on our gutters a couple of years back but they're lovely birds and it was nice to see them again. For reference (not my pic though):

Still quite nice today, too. Started out in the 30s, but now sunny, and in the 50s on the way to 60. Can't complain at all.

That's a shame, one of my favorite parts of spring is the cherry blossom. I love all flowering fruit trees, really. Pear, crabapple, cherry, whatever, they're all lovely.

Woodpeckers are generally quite nicely colored, but I always liked these ones when we first realized what it was making that noise on our roof a few years back. Saturday was the first time I saw them in person since then though, which was a nice surprise in among the usual Robins. Saw my first Cardinal of the year too

Cardinals are common enough round here, but every so often the Blue Jays scare them all away.

Rain, possibly turning into rain and snow. Snow likely tonight. This is just BS weather to go with all the rest of the crap going on at the moment.

Totally different day now trying to brighten up.I hope this is the start of the clearing weather.Any time soon we will be opening our windows for the summer
