Last night I dreamed I was in a room, no idea where or why, and sitting opposite me was Boris Johnson. Behind him was Theresa May. It was sort of like a railway car with luxury seating but we weren't on the move.

I offered TM some scotch from the bottle I had next to me and she accepted. I didn't offer him any.

The subconscious is a very strange thing.

I hope you put something caustic in that scotch before you gave it to May. And hit Boris over the head with the empty bottle. Not that I'm violent or anything.

I learned today that the saline spray I use to clean my nose out in the morning, comes from France.

(product name removed) is composed of 100% natural-source, undiluted seawater from the Bay of Saint-Malo, France.

I feel old.

My nephew (21) asked me on face book what it was like in the olden days, I asked him what year, and he said 2000....

I guess 2000 now is olden days in a way, I mean in the 1990 when I was 20, I thought of the 1970's as olden...lol

My parents explained what a decade was as 1960 approached. I didn't care about New Year's Day, but when told I'd be starting Grade 1 that year I got excited. I loved to read (mom taught all us kids to read early on) and having had a taste of kindergarten I was eager to begin real school.

So your older than my parents, but appear younger than my wife's parents.

I don't think my parents remember much of 1960. They were only turning 2

Where is that? You must be a hardy lot, out in sub-zero weather in just a shirt.

I started school on 1951, and yes, I could read before I went, and I could do simple maths, so I was bored, and often got my fingers rapped by the teacher took and passed the 11+ a year early and in secondary school was part of an experiment that had the top class taking 4 O levels a year early. This did rebound on a few people who found their universtiy application stated that the O levels had all to be passed in the same year. The experiment lasted for only 2 years.

Speaking of age and being at school...

When at your desk and writing the date in your exercise books - let's say 10th March 1969 - did you ever think "I wonder if I'll be writing a date way into the future, say in 1982"

2000 seemed so far away to 1980's me, but then at that age a year seems like an eternity. As we age time feels like its sped up, something to with our brains.

I spent most of school looking out the window daydreaming, probably why I didn't learn much....ha ha

I do remember wondering in the early 90's how we would write the date in 2000 and thinking it would look weird, but in the end it was no big deal.
