The reviews on IMDB would appear to agree with you.

First clue should have been Ben Affleck.

I watched Everest yesterday after i had read into thin air,The book and movie is the same story. After reading the book you understand the movie more and it brings all your thoughts while reading the book to life.Reading the book first then the movie is the right way to go Imho, very enjoyable.

Helps explain the "Race Issues" in USA. Trump and his Trumpeters will hate it.

The Train. An old Burt Lancaster movie, made in 1964. It's an old favorite in our household!

Re-watched Hacksaw Ridge, about Desmond Doss a conscientious objector who served as a combat medic in the Pacific during WW2, winning the US Medal of Honor (and two Bronze Stars). Well worth a watch (or two!).

Then, coincidentally, started to watch (far too late) The Last Full Measure the fictionalized account of the struggle to get the Medal of Honor for William Hart
Pitsenbarger, a 21-year old US Air Force pararescue medic who voluntarily stayed with a group of ambushed troops in Vietnam, evacuating 9 wounded and treating others until he was killed. Having started to watch this just to see what it was about, I ended up watching the whole film into the wee hours. The facts about this hero are true as is the fact that it took over 30 years for him to get the medal for which he had been nominated. Well worth watching and with a host of great actors (Christopher Plummer, William Hurt, Ed Harris, Samuel L. Jackson and Peter Fonda in his final film role).
