"Call Of The Wild" with Harrison Ford. Jack London is coming back into fashion. maybe his White Supremacist ideas match these New Times that we are living through,

I,m in lockdown movie mode at the mow.No footie so i am picking a movie i might not usually watch.Mission impossible the newest one can't remember what it is called? but a couple of hours of unreal fun. This movie is unlike the others i have recently watched which were true entertaining and Imho were riveting.Oh well what's next?

years ago I tried to watch the first one and just couldn’t get into it, so I gave up. Haven’t bothered since, but may be forced to try again if boredom sets in. Especially as they’ve announced Corrie is down to 3 eps per week.

Hmm, everyone is presuming that the networks are sized to handle increased streaming demand due to lock-ins. The UK government has already expressed concerns that this and the calls for education via the internet during school closures plus an increased use of VoIP for family calls will put networks under strain.

I didn't like the first one. I'm not sure when it improved but the last few have been terrific. Good plots and great stunts that had me going Whooa from time to time.

I love the Bond movies - especially so since Daniel Craig took over and current MI is every bit as good.

Of course, if you don't like Bond/Craig then I probably just put you off. But the more 'recent' MI movies are streets ahead of the first. It also helps if you don't compare it to the TV show.

Last night on TV they showed "The Man With the Iron Heart" about the assassination of Nazi leader Reinhard Heydrich in Prague during World War II. It is also known as "HHhH", short for Himmlers Hirn heißt Heydrich - Himmler's brain is called Heydrich.

Very good - and better than "Anthropoid" about the same subject (even though the latter does star my boys Jamie Dornan and Cillian Murphy!).

I do seem to remember that before the election, one party was promising free superfast broadband to every home, now... I wonder who that was.

"Operation Daybreak", (1975), about the real-life "Operation Anthropoid"..

"Anthropoid" (2016) named after the actual operation

"The Man with the Iron Heart/tHHhH" (2017) named after Hitler's description of Heydrich (or as previouslly explained). It shows who Heydrich was and how he got where he did, the operation and the aftermath - including the destruction of Lidice.
