Today isn't bad, supposed to be a high of 70, which we will probably hit around 2pm, currently 60F, a bit of cloud.

Rest of the week has rain and high 60's, nice thing about this time of year is it cools off nicely overnight, into the high 50's so nice cool evening air to sleep comfortably.

A lot of lightning flying around in the clouds yesterday evening. Much cooler today, and grey.

We had a tornado warning for about 45 minutes yesterday as well, though really we were just outside of the 'official' area. Some impressive lightning after 11 though.

We only get tornado warnings once in a blue moon, due to being so close to the lake. We do get watches every once in a while.

There was a lot of electricity in the air last night. Even if that does sound like a Peter Gabriel song.

We get a lot of watches, but the last actual warning I remember was a couple years ago. The tornado did touch down that time, but in the next town over and it flattened a pizza shop we go to. That has since been rebuilt.

We didn't end up actually going to the basement this time, just kept a few windows open and had the weather updates on the TV, keeping an eye on the sky. Nothing touched down at all in the area, though they did say there was rotation in the clouds and supposedly someone saw a funnel cloud. I guess they were being a bit more cautious since that tornado ripped through Waukegan last week with no warning at all.

We are in the middle of a 3 day storm with massive rain fall. the rivers and bankles are flowing fast which is unusual. 9.16 am Friday

Just sort of drippy here this morning, but it obviously poured overnight.

The rain stopped some time early this morning, but there was a massive puddle across the road on the way into work this morning. Really shitty drainage along that road, my daughter's soccer field is right next to it and it was absolutely saturated.
