I like late October weather

It's actually quite nice today though to be fair, hovering around 70 and sunny, if a little humid after all of last night's rain.
It is 13C, feels like 11C. It is wet, grey, low cloud and miserable. I little like my mood today.

But surely not in June?

Last night my mobile alerted hail storms incoming, so I moved the car in an attempt to minimise any damage, luckily my chosen tree took the hit.

This morning the central heating kicked in.

We have had a couple of days over 20 C, but it's pretty crap on the whole.

That's a little warmer than the late October weather I was thinking of. That's a Belfast summer day right there

Not messing around though, I actually enjoy a grey, rainy day from time to time.

15-16C expected the rest of the week, with rain mixed in.

Early next week looks like sun and 20-25C expected which I can tolerate, over 25C though and it becomes less pleasant, 20-25 is perfect range.

It all depends on the humidity. The right level of moisture can make even low 20s feel awful.

True, which is what it was like when I was in Dallas, so humid, I could never live in such a place.

We don't really get humid weather here so I forget about factoring humidity in.

Not having to worry about factoring humidity in is a good thing, so I wouldn't worry about forgetting.

Looks like we might (that word again) break +20 C on Sunday, the high pressure looks quite happily to be in your neck of the woods at the moment.

It's the potential onset of rust that really bothers me.

Lost one of our trees - a silver birch - in the overnight storms. It seems that it was in trouble anyway, the trunk snapped about three metres up, the rest landed on top of the garden shed

The shed roof looks to be intact, but it hasn't been clement enough out today to have a proper look, maybe tomorrow.
