I could do with nippy. It's unusually humid for March in Whangaparaoa and it has triggered my pityriasis versicolor on my back for the fifth year in a row. So back on the Itraconazole for a fortnight. I could do with some nice, cold snow to lie on!!!!!
I keep telling everyone that I'm allergic to NZ!

It's actually quite nice today. Bit of sun, not super cold (though not warm by any stretch), though still feels springlike. Almost all the snow has melted as well, which is always good to see.

Whereas I am just waiting for the humidity to rise so I stop itching due to dermatitis caused by the cold dry air we get over the winter. Want to swap countries?

Mine's rather lovely but useless at cooking and DIY. He works very hard and puts in quite a few hours, then crashes to bed around 9pm, so you wouldn't have to see him too often

Damp, but pleasantly warm.

Last weekend it was 80ºF/27ºC, warm and sunny.

This morning it has been snowing, enough to settle and make the lawn mostly white.

In your face. It hasn't snowed here for a few weeks and it's doubtful we'll get any more this side of November. This is what I wait for all winter.

I'd have said the same thing myself yesterday, or even at 7am this morning, and I'd have said it even more emphatically!

Still, if the cloud clears by mid afternoon, as is predicted, the sun will melt it quickly and it will all seem like a weird dream by this evening.

That's the best part of it for you, when you do get a snow like this it's usually gone pretty quickly. I guess it's the same for our early spring snows too but in the past we've had a foot in late March and it got cold enough for it to hang around for a while too. Rain is better.

Looks like we are heading into 6 days of rain starting tomorrow, forecast calls for more rain in the next 5 days then we got during all of March, but March was like the 2nd driest on record, and February was one of the coldest.

Definitely spring-like these last few days, not too much rain, daytime average temperature 14 C, have had a couple of days when it almost hit 20 C. We had one sub-zero night this last week.

But there's still the wind, Sultan it's nowt to do with sprouts this time.

Next few days forecast same-same, dipping next weekend, can't see through to Easter yet with any degree of certainty.

It's the first properly nice day of the year today. Clear and sunny, sitting at a nice 70F. Just beautiful.
