Start with one pill a day leading to 5 pills a day in a weeks time. These will help you stay awake during the average rugby union game.

That doesn't explain why Rugby Union is followed in many more countries the world over and is by far more the popular sport than league.

This is probably due to the fact that despite RL being IMO superior to RU in terms of watching, playing, and the all round skills and fitness of the players of the respective sports, RL has been run (especially in the UK) by incompetents for the best part of 100 years. Consequently, the game is in the main confined to the M62 corridor. Things though are changing. Look at the areas represented in the RL conference. Clubs are now playing in regional leagues in the North East, East Anglia, South West and Wales amongst other areas, something unheard of 10 years ago. Whereas, RU can claim a much wider interest at international level, it will be interesting to compare the average and total attendances in this years Zurich prem to those of the Super League season just finished as well as TV viewing figures for the respective leagues. I may be wide of the mark, but off the top of my head, I'll say that RL at club level is more popular than RU.

rugby town my arse.
Well Wigan Athletic are doing pretty well at the moment.... I mean looks like the Premiership next season at this rate.

Interesting that just after the world cup that Australians seemed to think that no-one there played RU and Rugby League was by far the superior code...

...not only that, we have had wicked hierachies like the RFU for the past 100 years ban any of their players who switched to League and try to suffocate the even existence of Rugby League!

They tell us thru the media that 'rugby went pro in 1995' when that is a complete and utter tosspot lie!
Any rugby that was professional 1st, was, yes rugby union back in the last 1800's before the clubs in the north broke away because the RFU were playing 2 sets of rules, ie, paying certain players to go on tours yet descriminating against the northern working class clubs who had no choice but to pay their clubs!

Even French rugby union used the French Vichy (Nazi) government during WW2 to strip Rugby League of its assets because League was the bigger code in France! Ever since then RL in France has suffered, but the good news is that rugby union will be shown up for what it really is! Justice will prevail!
