Have you seen the film Celtic Pride? It's running on HBO at the moment and really funny. Mr Sibsie told me today that Boston/New England is one of only three places in America ever to have a World Series team and Superbowl team, or something like that.

Pats have won 21 games in a row now. I'm putting my money on another superbowl victory. Mind you, I've also got $600 riding on Kerry to win the election. :scared:

Just two Japanese players have really made an impact, well three if you count Hideo Nomo, who's been a bit hit or miss. Matsui and Ichiro are the exceptions.

The Chinese team has just completed a training camp out here in AZ with the help of MLB.

The "World Champion" title reminds me of the old stock car races that ITV use to show on saturdays. Most of the drivers were from Essex or East Anglia, but they were crowned world champs. lol

I just remembered the name of one of the "World Champs" of stock car racing. Barry Lee!.

New York Shrink Rains on Red Sox Victory Parade

"NEW YORK (Reuters) - A New York psychiatrist cautioned Boston Red Sox fans that the team's first World Series title in 86 years could have a deleterious effect on them...."

Thought that was a tad amusing...
