Poor Ireland...........Lost a game after a goal scored that was handball...... Even Henry said it was....... Come on Blatter/Platini........Oh, but you want the "bigger boys" to go through

I feel that we have been cheated. Yes we did have 2 great chances by Duff and Keane to score a second goal in the 90 mins but to go out this way, it hurts. Even if it had gone on to penalties and Ireland lost, yes most of us would have been disappointed but it would have been 'fair'. The FAI chief executive John Delaney makes a good point "Every time I go to a FIFA congress I hear about fair play and integrity. This was not a league game. This was a defining game with the whole world watching and if FIFA believe in fair play and integrity, this is their opportunity to step forward."
But we all know nothing will happen. I bet Platini and Blatter are delighted that France have got through. The whole thing is corrupt and with FIFA and UEFA seeding teams for the playoffs, shows they favour the bigger countries. It will be a while before Irish eyes smile again

Refs are getting worse not better, FIFA have double standards suggesting the individual FA`S should use video to punish those found cheating but will they do anything on this one will they f..K!

****ing frogs
I rarely see eye to eye with the Irish, except where Guinness is concerned, but the French are just beyond words. Shameful.

The whole game is tainted. Obscene amounts of money players earn, bribery, corruption, feigning injuries when fouled, claiming for penalties which blantantly aren't.
This handball was just gamesmanship that is epidemic in a crooked sport which sadly for the Irish had big consequences.

Has anyone seen this clip from the qualifiers?
Ireland were losing and the penalty gave them an equaliser in the last 20 minutes and they went on to win.
There is no offence committed other than a possible handball by Robbie Keane (of Ireland) and a possible offside by Robbie Keane (of Ireland).
Penalties are not usually given for offences by the attacking team.
There is no contact of any player let alone a foul and no appeals for anything...yet the Irish team was given a penalty that turned defeat into victory.
Does anyone remember hearing any regrets and apologies from Ireland and offers to replay the game?

Who cares, (well nobody should apart from the Irish).
