Eh? When I suggest anything would fall apart?!

25-30 years ago the braziliuan teams generally were the best(when they didn't export many)

the english game will not fall apart with out the south americans, but these days the top european players(french, dutch, italians, spanish) play more like the brazilians than like the english
what would chelsea be like without all the foreigners?
and man u?, and arsenal?
they all(south america and the continent) have similar football coaching principles and methods and england so far lags behind(oz is even worse)
maybe thats why there isn't enough english players in the top clubs 1st team
and lots of english exports AND a crap england side?

Up until recently South American sides had the edge over the European sides in the World Club Championship as well. In the 60`s, 70`s and 80`s the Brazilian, Argentinian and Uruguayan club sides dominated. This was also a time when the European sides had largely only Europeans in their sides and also an English team had largely British players and an Italian team had largely Italian players etc. Point being that if the South America sides didn`t export so many players their club sides would probably still be dominant in this competition.

oh and by the way - at least 3 of the top english clubs are superior to the national side
why?
cos they r full of foreigners
FACT
this does not apply to brazil, argentina, france, germany, spain, portugal, hol land and italy

Think you will find the Libertadores Cup is quite often won by non Brazilian sides, only last year an Ecuadorian team won it, hence to say their best player was quickly signed up by a Spanish side.

As you say Europe has caught up partly because their leading sides have a lot of South American players.

What do you mean by England not catching up? Their club sides or the national side?

Good point but I think you will find that the Spanish, Italian, French and German leagues to be full of foreigners as well................So why does England`s national team fare so poorly in relation to these national sides, considering the amount of foreigners playing in the leagues is of a similiar quantity?

Think you will find that Real Madrid and Barcelona etc don`t have too many starting Spanish in their first 11 either (Casillas, Sergio Ramos and Raul/Victor Valdes, Iniesta and Xavi) that`s 6 players probably about the same as say Liverpool or Manchester United (Carragher and Gerrard/Ferdinand, Brown, Carrick, Scholes and Rooney) that`s 7. Spain are currently champions of europe and England didn`t qualify................therefore, I think it has more to do with other factors than just the English league being full up of foreign based players.

as far as i know a few decades ago it was mainly brazilian sides cos back then they had a lot of their best players
what i meant by england not catching up was their standard of players and coaching systems and their national side - not their club sides
in fact their club sides used to be the best in the mid 70's to mid 80's, but got overtaken by advancing german, spanish and italian sides - and only seem to now be dominant because of lots of foreigners in the top sides

yes i agree the amount of foreign players in the league isn't the real factor,
just like i said before the coaching aspect in england stinks compared to other top nations - altho i believe that is gradually and quickly changing recently
