The transfer thread.

As we're now between the finish of the old season, and the start of the new, :( I thought it might be a good idea to have a place to discuss the summer transfers.

I'll kick-off. ;)

I can't really see him being the answer to Paul Scholes, but I suppose that's what's in Ferguson's mind.

Here are the rest of todays updated rumours according to The Telegraph.

If Owen Hargreaves had been fit, then Paul Scholes would have been playing at Oldham athletic for the past 2 years.......

Nasri is a good player in the middle, his form dipped once the stubborn french fool decided to stick him on the wing around February.

Oldham? Not Stockport? ;)
Hargreaves was one of those players United should never have bought, given his constant fitness and injury problems.

Every team has got it's 'sicknote' - Spurs has loads of them!

Anderton was known as "sicknote" United seem to have their constant ones too. :(

Nasri to United and O'Shea the other way in a swap plus cash deal.

Thought arsenal needed a good defender?

they should sign Jonny Evans too........... then they'd realise that Squillaci and Senderos weren't that bad after all.

Or alternatively, this morning...
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/foo...idfielder.html

Although why he really thinks he's worth 110K a week is beyond my comprehension.

What about this then?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/foo...-Rumours-.html

I was slightly amused to hear Liverpool are interested in Milner though, what's the chances of that becoming a reality?

This transfer window crap gets right on my nerves.......

Tbh the rumour mill is rife at the moment - if I have to read one more story about Modders going to Chelski, ManUre, City, Real............blah blah I might have to chew my own arm off.

If Harry doesn't sign a decent striker soon I'm gonna have to go up there with my cheque book and sort things myself.........I'm going to try and get Drogba for £16.50 and a second hand Thomas the Tank Engine bike.

Let's face it, nothing's certain until the transfer deadline has come and gone (apart from the fact that we've swapped Keane, Bentley and Hutton for Messi, Ronaldo and Villa ;))

Everything gets on your nerves.. you're a Spurs fan.

Here's something to cheer you up and stop you going up there and ruining Harry's day for him though.

Now you're free to go up there with your cheque book and the Thomas the Tank bike, but I'm pretty certain that even if Crouch could fit on it, he still wouldn't have the balance to ride it more than 3 feet. ;)
No talk of Rooney going to Spain this year yet anyway.

Anyone surprised that City are spending more money?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/foo...-Belgrade.html

Apparently, Tevez is being told he's not leaving.. as he's reportedly "earning" 200K a week, why would he want to?

"He moves to the Premier League 12 months after a trial period with the Gunners ended without Arsene Wenger declaring an interest.
At the time, it was thought Savic would only have cost the Gunners £2 million.
That City might be paying up to five times that sum indicates how well Savic has performed both for Partizan Belgrade"

....or, that they saw City coming.

No surprise at all, Chelski and your lot will also shell out big time to get 'the best'....money, money, money.

Tell you what, why don't we just dispense with next season and just have ManUre, Chelski and City play each other home and away and decide on the sodding title that way, save all us proper fans and proper teams some time, effort and heartache
