Question Support Paul Di Resta's bid to stay in F1 in 2014...

If you are in any way, shape or form, a supporter of Paul Di Resta and would like to see him survive the F1 "musical chairs" ... then please come along and "like" this Facebook Page, which is set up to help fans voice their opinions and show their support.

Keep Paul Di Resta

Many thanks for your time!

Note: This is purely a support page, not some kind of "miracle worker" to save Paul's seat next season.

How is liking this page going to keep him in F1 I didn't know that if you could get enough likes on Facebook you could get an F1 drivers seat. Next they will be offering liver transplants to people with enough likes in fact this is the money saving system the NHS has needed for ages time to scrap the queues.

I prefer Maldonado, who has at least achieved a win in F1 and done so on merit too. Plus Maldonado brings cash and is a bit of a character, unlike Mr No Charisma.

Going to be interesting to see what Maldonada can do in a halfway decent car next year. Especially how he compares to Grosjean.

Hopefully Grosjean has leant enough this year to be able to avoid all of the Crashing-Into-Each-Other™ I can see coming. Could be hilarious.

With regard to Di Resta, I don't think I have ever seen someone appear to be so ungrateful for a chance to be an F1 driver. He spends most of his time slouching around with a face like a smacked ass.

Force India should do a sponsored "Kick Di Resta Down the Pitlane" event to raise some extra cash.

If it's a choice between Di Resta and The Hulk, Hulkenberg is by far the better choice.

I agree.

The problem for both, is "money".

Hulk clearly has the talent of a driver in a top team, where I honestly believe Paul deserves to solidify a drive in a mid-grid team - but those $$$'s keep getting in the way for both drivers.

We have heard Eddie Jordon, Martin Brundle, Damon Hill and many others stress how good Hulk is, but top teams still won't take him on, based on the bank account - and this echoes all the way down the grid. Real shame F1 is becoming this kind of beast, but there you go.

Agreed.

Then again, I would place Hulkenberg above a few of the drivers with confirmed drives as well.

I quite agree, but I read that his size, he is a bit big for an F1 driver, is also a problem. His weight compared to some other drivers, is enough to take 0.2 seconds a lap off the cars pace. That's 12 seconds over a 60 lap race.

I thought the issue with Hulk was height over weight? (I could be wrong on this one).

I guess they want all modern F1 drivers to be robots, compared with average driver physiques in the 70-90's.
