The new 'Rangers' will NOT be in the SPL next year, it hasn't yet been decided which of the divisions they will be able to join, but the SPL clubs soundly defeated their attempt to remain in the SPL.

Who do Rangers replace?
Who moves up in Divs 1 & 2?

I would suspect that the next highest placed clubs in divs 1 - 3 will just get promoted.

Dundee are pushing for that, but Dunfermline are not happy with it, maybe there will be similar disputes further down too.

Not only them but a lot more of the smaller SPL teams who rely on the money Rangers and their supporters bring with them. The SPL will now be on a par with the Albanian 3rd Division.

I am not so sure if this will be the make or the break of Scottish football, it was certainly a far more interesting league full of Scottish talent before Murray started his spending spree at Rangers! Sure, the days of foreign players getting 20-40k per week is gone... but is that really so bad?!

Interesting times ahead...

Celtic will be happy, champions for the next three years at least.

Maybe they should shove off as well and make the league fairer.

Exactly my point. Why bother when the result's a foregone conclusion for the next 3 years or more.

Relegation isn't a foregone conclusion.

It´s going to be interesting for the 3rd div clubs, normal attendance 500, when a load of Rangers supporters descend..

I would be happy if Celtic went to the EPL to add a bit more competition there!
