The thing is Murphy's right he should show some pride it's not like he needs £30 is it? The other thing is Murphy managed to beat the Aussies he never has won an ashes contest.

Suppose I was a little harsh on Murph ....he never did me any favours but thats not to say he wasn't patriotic ....Senior over the last 12 months has proved to be a total shit and deserves no respect ....

interesting to see how Aussies will react to that cheating Pommy bastard ref Klein when they realise he will be in the NRL this season and that he is in fact australian

When he has a great game he will be an Aussie (bear in mind there will be 2 refs in NRL games next season) and when he has a stinker he will be "that pommy barstard"
Listening to a sports show on the radio this arvo they were having a dig at Russell Smith and how long he takes to make a call as video ref!

OK ..only a few weeks to go before silly season is over ..the new Welsh boys have problems .....but the rest of league land is as it should be ..any predictions for the top 4??

Wigan will make the top 4 and be the best they have been for a few seasons ....Saints will carry on as they are ..Mick Potter is a good coach and will have to alter little ..maybe install a little steel ..Leeds are my prediction for the biggest loser ...Bradford to get back in there and Warrington will prove that they should have stuck with Cullen .....Wire without pride ...ugly
Quins respectable ....6'th or 7'th......and Salford will suck ...big style ..they should never have released Karl Harrison....

Saints
Bradford
Wigan
Hull FC
Hull KR
London

Leeds

Wigan
Hull
Warrington
Bradford. same old, same old.London/Quins are in their worse shape for some years(which probably means we will have our best season),no CEO,stand-in chairmen,no moneyno crowds(whats new?),loss of creative players such as Scott Hill,Henry Paul,Mark Mclinden, couple of Aussie forwards(workhorses) tells me we aint gonna be pretty to watch this season.Think defence will be the keyword for Quins this year,we blew silly games last season and i think Macs had enough.
Crusaders could find the going tough now with the stricter visa guidelines, hope they can hit the ground running or it could quickly go pearshaped for them.

Quins to rely on local talent......as if we have any other choice, cant afford any decent players, and all the northerners go home after a couple of months cos they miss their mums .

Had a few emails this week from friends back in the UK....all of which bemoaned just how bad Wigan looked against Wakefield...the general consensus was that Ritchie Mathers is woeful and will be lucky to see the season out...the Aussies are second rate .... below the surface there are a few problems...it seems that a few of the new recruits are less than popular and the release of tried and tested homegrown talent has led to some unrest ....So any bets on Nobby being the first coach of the season to be sacked?

With money in short supply it makes sense to make him see out the majority of his contract....in the last 10 years Wigan must have paid out a million quid in settlements ....In essence Noble isn't that bad a coach...the playing staff has just not been up to much...with the exception of Trent Barrett, most of the imports have been average/poor and some the local talent has never really lived upto expectations ...and yes I do mean Sean O'Loughlin

I've always said marrying farrells sister doesn't make you a good player. Noble is crap was at Bratfurt. Look at the GB team, they tonk Australia so he pissed about with the two halfbacks and puts Price on the wing (which was why he left bratfurt) GB get tonked again

Hi boys,

Not long to go now before the start of a new footie season. Is it just me or does the off season seem to have been soooooooooooo long this time? Ah well no doubt before the end of this season we will be complaining how long it is (the season ).
Good to see Channel 9 showing Superleague games for us poor sods who are either too tight or never in enough to justify buying Foxtel

Well here's to a great 2009

Bit of a shock Wakey walloping the pies in the first round of Superleague
