Selection process for this world cup is becoming a bit farcical with Anthony Tupou not originally picked for the kangaroos so he contacts Jim Dymock the Tongan Coach to say he would be pround and honoured to play for Tonga then next day with the withdrawl of Michael crocker he's named in the Kangaroos squad and withdraws from Tongan team
C'mon FFS its ridiculous |

I agree it makes a mockery...but on the other hand i am encouraged that he has been selected,he has been ordinary this season, did nothing in origin, and if Aus are geting down to players like Tupou gotta be good for Englands chances.

Re: The Rugby League Thread ...
I personally would like to see the rules changed so your only eligible for the country of your birth. That would simplify things and stop the aussies and Kiwis poaching islanders who would probably have a very strong team

Great resuly against Wales and yes i do realise they had a very average side but in years gone by we would still have struggled to win by more then 12 points - more encouraging it wasnt a full strength team
congrats to the Harlequin boys all scoring on debut:beer::beer::beer: |

...very sad indeed ....
Been off here for a while due to work, looking to buy a house and finding out my eldest daughter and family have started the visa process to come out here next year. Just found out about the sad passing of Adam and can't believe that in such a short space of time tragedy has hit at Wakefield 3 times! Will be sending a message of condolence via the club to go to Adams' family and friends and fellow players. On a lighter note are we all ready for the world cup:thumbsup:? I know the first of the official supporters tours is due to touch down on Oz soil this Sunday so it will soon be time to play 'spot the rugby speccie'. Will be at Suncorp for the semi and final so may see some of you in the Caxton for a swift pint;) Loz x |
