Nah, much as I despise Clueless Louie, I wouldn't resort to bottling the team coach to get at him.... West Ham have plenty of 'previous' for this sort of thing, though the players should never have been put in that position in the first place, and those at the club responsible would be looking for a new job this morning if I had a say in it, utterly pathetic for a club in the PL to fail to make it to the ground twice in a matter of weeks.

All that still doesn't make Sullivan's comments ('the coach was not attacked'......!!) any better- a runt, as you'd expect him to be.
I think you're asking a bit much to expect the people responsible for this to get sacked for that level of incompetence. Don't forget Ed Woodward and LVG are still employed, so being utterly shite at your job isn't a sackable offence at Man Utd.

Sadly, the same is also true at Everton. I'll just say to Weeze and any other Newcastle fans who are hoping we'll beat Sunderland and give you a chance to stay up. I'm afraid you're going to be sorely disappointed.

TBH though, zargie, at any 'responsible' company, complete failure to do your job TWICE in the space of a few weeks WOULD see you in big trouble....once is forgivable, twice in such a short space of time is, at best, 'pushing your luck'.

Wish I could disagree with you regarding the Sunderland game, but I can't. Everton look to be 'on holiday' already, and I think the Geordies will be down before a ball gets kicked on Sunday...totally a consequence of hiring, and then NOT firing, Smiler McClaren, who is a complete onion of a manager.

Yes indeed but he is a pornographer so what were you expecting an upright and upstanding man of pure character?

Be careful Mike or frase will be on, foaming at the mouth about how porn peddling doesn't make someone less than 'upright'....

Porn does tend to make people upright. Not quite in the same way though.

Yeah I've heard that as well. I've also heard De Boer, Koeman, Jose and Rafa...

We'll see...

I guess my biggest shock last night was just how poor we are as a team defending set pieces...the marking was almost non-existent, and Smalling was really the only player we had capable of attacking a ball coming into the box. At one stage West Ham got wise to this and blocked him off, which allowed Carroll an absolutely free header inside our area, and if he was as good as some of the media would have you believe, we would have lost 5 or 6 last night...it was THAT bad.

It is extremely worrying- many Reds may have been duped into thinking we are defensively strong; the simple truth is that we are far from it- we have a world-class goalkeeper, a top CB in Smalling, and a guy who has been doing a great job 'filling in' at CB (Blind) all season, but isn't a CB and will never command that position as you would want your CB to do.

Perhaps that's what van Gaal recognised early on and is why he has been playing two defensive midfielders nearly all year, to help shore up a suspect defence.... it begs the question, though: why not identify and sign another CB in January, if we didn't have the personnel within the club already.

Personally, I can't understand why Fosu-Mensah hasn't been given a decent chance beside Smalling, with Blind moving to LB (thereby ridding us of the awful Rojo).

Not sure what's going on with Herrera either...his form has been patchy at best, and I guess being switched in and out of the side hasn't done him any favours...he was pretty poor last night and gave away a few needless free-kicks against a team you don't want to be doing that with....

Exactly. But until teams replace the word 'club' with the term 'PLC', they're never going to change the way the owners and management behave.

Though Arsenal FPLC is never going to have the same ring to it.

Are there any responsible football companies (aka clubs)?

You do realise that porn has been mentioned in this thread, several times over the last 24 hours and Ed has not reared his ugly head to add any vulgar and unpleasant comments, do you think he is OK?

Oh and Cainess, you will pay for that 'logic' comment, not now but one day when you least expect it.....

I think a third season of LVG would be an appropriate punishment.

I imagine he's drunk himself into a coma after the united match.

Actually Ed's already offered Cainess a day out at old Trafford with him, so let's face it, that's probably punishment enough.

Either that, or being the glory hunter he is, he is waiting to open a new account on here as a Leicester fan.
