OK, the new season is almost upon is, so it's prediction time...

Who will finish in the Top 4?
Who will be relegated?
Where will your team finish?
First manager to get the boot?
First player to be banned for more than a red card?
Top scorer.
Best signing.
Biggest flop.

Top 4, in some order:

City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man U

Relegated:

Villa, West Brom, Leicester

Newcastle will finish top half

First manager to go will be Lambert

First player to get a ban for something other than a red/big ban? Barton, for a headbutt on Pardew on 22nd November

Top scorer? Diego Costa

Best signing? Fraser Forster

Biggest flop? Can I stick with Andy Carroll? If we mean transfer this year then Drogba shouldn't have gone back.

1 Chelsea
2 Manchester citeh
3 Arsenal
4 Manchester United
5 Liverpool
6 Everton
7 Tottenham Hotspur
8 Stoke City
9 Newcastle United
10 Southampton
11 Hull City
12 Swansea City
13 Crystal Palace
14 West Ham United
15 QPR
16 Sunderland
17 Leicester City
18 Aston Villa
19 West Bromwich Albion
20 Burnley

Top scorer: Diego Costa (Chelsea)
Player of the Year: Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea)
Young Player of the Year: Raheem Sterling (Liverpool)
Best Purchase: Luke Shaw or Cesc Fabregas (still can't believe Arsene turned down the chance to bring him back to Arsenal...)
Flop: Jack Rodwell (Sunderland have wasted a lot of money on a player who has gone backwards since he last pulled on an Everton shirt).
Special mention: Shane Long is a fantastic piece of business by Koeman, and could be the difference between Saints finishing comfortably mid-table and having a relegation fright...cannot believe Brucie let him leave Hull City!!
Best Bargain: Bojan Krkic (Stoke City)- Sparky has got himself a real top player for next to nothing...
To Have a bad season: Aston Villa...surely the epitomy of a club in desperate trouble, both on & off the pitch- feel desperately sorry for Villa fans; football is supposed to be a release from the sometimes depressing 'reality' of life, NOT the cause of further misery!!

Mind you, if Pulis leaves Palace, I'll revise the above to have them down slugging it out with the Foxes, West Brom and Villa for the relegation spots- THAT'S how important the man is to Palace, who's chairman is clearly a graduate from the 'Mike Ashley School of Diplomacy'.....!!

Palace after Moyes...

Plus re the Chairman(men) v Pulis.... Quite simply there wouldnt be a Palace team today if it wasn't for this group of local businesmen and you'll find even with Pulis being manager of the year last year, they, "The fans" would still be majority backing the Chairmen v Manger.

Although it has to be said, The Dougie Freeman issue makes a bit more sense now, and has raised some question marks.

Parish to maybe take a backward step re one of the other Chairman maybe.

Scrub the Moyes thing.... Sherwood (oh dear) Mckay... and the Palace favourite and a real dark horse.... Popovic.

'IF' he's already gone.. shows the problem with having Chairmen who 'think' they know what's best, Pulis gives Palace best finish position in the PL, and gets the sack.. OK they say it's by common consent, but everyone knows it's a sacking.

3rd best finish in the top flight actually.... Plus there is nothing like being 15mins from extinction to focus yourselves on whats really important.

If it comes to the crunch of being relegated, It's quite simply that Palace dont suit the PL system as it is at present. They'll survive and wait for the inevitable change thats coming to the current system. Probably the most sceptical fans re the PL in the whole country.

Plus Palace being Palace,.... You never know Europe is now on the cards

As always predictably unpredictable. Never ever do mid table and we woudn't have it any other way.

I guess I'll give my predictions:

1. Chelsea
2. Man City
3. Arsenal
4. Liverpool
5. Everton
6. Man Utd*
7. Spuds
8-16. Who cares
17. Villa (on goal difference)
18. Palace**
19. Leicester
20. Burnley

* This is based on Utd's current squad, if they actually happen to buy some of the players they've been linked with before the window closes then it could push them up to 4th, maybe 3rd depending on who they get.
** I would have said they would have been a comfortable 14th before Pulis left, but now I think they'll be struggling all season and go down on the last day with worse goal difference than Villa.

First manager to get the boot? I really hope it will be BFS, but it will be Lambert or Irvine.

First player banned for more than a red card? It's tempting to go for Barton, but I'll go a bit more left field and say Nasri for assaulting a fan.

Best signing? In terms of value for money, it has to be Besic for only 4M. In terms of making a difference to a team, then I'll say Costa as now Chelsea will have a striker that scores goals (well one that actually plays for them anyway).

Biggest flop? Enner Valencia at West Ham, I just don't see him adapting to the Premier League.

Actually I think Rodwell will do alright at Sunderland, the only question is how long it is until he gets injured.
As for Shane Long, well I happen to think that's a brilliant bit of business for Steve Bruce, I know prices are insane these days, but 12M for Long will have Hull laughing all the way to the bank.

City(too strong in depth), Chelsea (better 1st XI than City, but need cover for Costa), Arsenal, Liverpool. (Man Utd chasing top 4 with a good cup run, but not enough good central defenders to get top 4 yet)

Villa, WBA, Burnley

4th (Liverpool)

Paul Lambert (based on coin toss vs Alan Irvine)

None

Diego Costa (based on coin toss vs Sturridge, who is bound to miss a month or two injured anyway)

Biggest impact, Diego Costa, Chelsea will be a far more frightening prospect with a decent striker. Although his impact will be based on Cesc pulling Chelseas strings. Best value for money Bojan Krkik

Spurs, all that money and still cant get into Europe (or worse still, will get into the Europa League!). Oh, a player...£10m or over? Valencia, just wont get the supply at west ham, plus BFS picked him, so he must be shite. Some of Liverpools signings will appear to be overpriced and fail to make an impact, but things will come together next year for them.

I'm not as convinced by Chelsea as you all seem to be, they've ruined far too many top class strikers for me to be convinced Costa is the answer and Cesc didn't do much at Barcelona and has come back to the Premiership a failure much like Owen did and we all know his return wasn't too glorious.

Lallana I just don't like, it's probably his stupid little beard without the hair under his lip but I just don't see the point in him. I'd much rather we'd tried to get Lukaku as he gets on well with Sturidge but hopefully I'll be proven wrong here.
