Who do you think will win? Spain

Who do you want to win and why? England. Home nation team and about time for another win.

Which under-dog (nation) will completely surprise us all? Ivory Coast

Which so-called footballing nation will make complete arses of themselves and full flat on their faces? Portugal

Which manager will be used as a scape goat for poor team performance and be sacked immediately following the championship? Maradona then Queiroz.

See 1990, 1996, 1998, 2002, 2006.......I'm sure there have been more, but wasn't it ever thus?

Don't forget an English talisman who goes, isn't fully fit and ends up bowing out in glorious failure. (Robson, Beckham, Rooney, Cole*)......

I agree - I think him being injured actually did Capello a favour - means he didn't have to drop the Queen Mum of English football!

Mid-field's still a concern, though. Do we know if Barry will be fit? If not, the holding role looks weak - not convinced by Carrick, Huddlestone or Parker.

Also, upfront I'm hoping Capello drops Heskey for Bent.

Dunno about Barry - I hope so. I'm not his biggest fan but there is no-one else. Shame Hargreaves is a sicknote.

Heskey is crap - I have never seen why managers get fooled by him, again and again. Crouch's scoring rate means he has to play, despite him being a circus freak.

Agreed. Heskey: 3 goals, Bent: 24 goals - should be an easy choice. Also, Crouchey can play the target man better than Heskey for Rooney.

Did you catch the friendly with Mexico earlier in the week?

No, missed it - we had the joy of watching South Africa draw with Bulgarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Sorry, nodded off there. I generally only get excited when the game means something. I have all my tickets for England - from game 1 to (Oh God please) game 7.....

It was an OK-ish game. Thought the score was a bit flattering and some of the team looked tired. Rob Green played well and I though Ledley had a good game.
